Baseball Recap: Wayne Academy Comes Up Short

Wayne Academy lost against Lamar last Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Wayne Academy came up short against Lamar, falling 13-1. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wayne Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caden Lowery, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. That triple was Lowery's first of the season.

Wayne Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Lamar, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-4-2.

Looking ahead, Wayne Academy will square off against Park Place Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wayne Academy is facing Park Place Christian Academy at the right time seeing as Park Place Christian Academy is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Lamar, they will face off against Leake Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lamar will also cruise into their next contest with the timing on their side: Leake Academy will have lost three straight heading into Tuesday's matchup.
