Basketball Recap: Maiden Piles Up the Points Against West Caldwell

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Maiden on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew the West Caldwell Warriors out of the water with a 93-66 final score. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 46-25.

Maiden had a senior duo take command as Zion White went 9 of 11 en route to 24 points and Lincoln Frasure went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc on his way to 24 points. Those 24 points set a new season-high mark for White. Another player making a difference was Raheim Misher, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.

Maiden was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Caldwell only posted four assists.

When it comes to explaining why West Caldwell lost, don't look at Jay Maxwell. Despite the final result, he went 8 of 18 en route to 18 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Zion Thomas, who posted 12 points.

Maiden's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-2. As for West Caldwell, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4.

Maiden wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 103-60 victory against Bunker Hill on the 14th. West Caldwell has also already played their next game, a 90-75 defeat against Lincolnton on the 9th.
