Baseball Recap: Egg Harbor Township Victorious

Egg Harbor Township won the last time they faced St. Joseph and things went their way on Friday too. The Eagles came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 7-2.

Roman Giaconia spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on seven hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Mike Baxter was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. He has become a key player for Egg Harbor Township: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Dylan Salsbery, who went 1-for-5 with one home run.
