Baseball Recap: Faith Academy Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Faith Academy had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Andalusia Bulldogs 4-3. The victory was nothing new for the Rams as they're now sitting on four straight.

Grayson Finch tossed a big game, tossing 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Eli Quinley was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

Faith Academy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive games.

Faith Academy pushed their record up to 22-5 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for Andalusia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-11-1.

As of now, neither Faith Academy nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
