Softball Recap: Wyoming East Takes a Loss

Wyoming East lost against Liberty back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Wyoming East came up short against Liberty, falling 19-13.

Alivia Monroe and Carlee Rollins stepped up to the plate in a big way. Monroe went 4-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs, while Rollins went 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendra Cook, who scored two runs while going 4-for-4.

Even though they lost, Wyoming East was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .526. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Liberty only posted a batting average of .143.

Wyoming East dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Liberty, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2.

While Wyoming East had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
