Basketball Recap: Legacy College Prep Comes Up Short

Legacy College Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a hard 56-37 fall against the Magnolia Science Academy Pirates.

Magnolia Science Academy found their leader in freshman Devin Gonzales, who posted 18 points. Tobi Bamidele was another key player, putting up 13 points and five rebounds.

Legacy College Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Magnolia Science Academy, their win bumped their record up to 8-3.

Legacy College Prep will venture away from home to square off against NOVA Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Magnolia Science Academy, they will welcome Liberty Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Magnolia Science Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59 points per game this season.
