It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Walnut Grove Christian had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 4-1 margin over the HOPE Academy Royals. Walnut Grove Christian might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by three goals or more this season.

They hit HOPE Academy with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Onnie Williams (2), Landon Tarbell, and Charlie Thompson.

Walnut Grove Christian pushed their record up to 7-3-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those three matches. As for HOPE Academy, their loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-2-2.

Walnut Grove Christian has already played their next matchup, a 2-2 victory against Lee Park Prep on the 18th. Hopefully HOPE Academy paid attention to the Christian Warriors' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Christian Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
