Basketball Recap: Marshall County Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Marshall County took on Giles County on Friday. The Marshall County Tigers fell just short of the Giles County Bobcats by a score of 64-62. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bobcats earlier this season, when they won 66-52.

Defeat or not, Marshall County got some senior leadership from Jabrae Howard and Jamahl Gentry. Howard posted 22 points, while Gentry scored 20 points. Howard is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played. Jayce Harney was another key player, putting up nine points.

Marshall County's loss dropped their record down to 19-7. As for Giles County, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-9.

As of now, neither Marshall County nor Giles County have any future games scheduled.
