Basketball Recap: New York Mills Piles Up the Points Against Westmoreland

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hamilton, New York Mills was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 62-31 victory over the Westmoreland Bulldogs. With that win, the Marauders brought their scoring average up to 50.2 points per game.

New York Mills had a senior duo take command as David Goodfriend posted 17 points and Aiden Miller almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine assists. Those nine assists set a new season-high mark for Miller. Another player making a difference was Ra'Id Adams, who had nine points and three steals.

New York Mills' victory bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Westmoreland, they dropped their record down to 1-11 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

When New York Mills and Westmoreland next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. New York Mills will take on Morrisville-Eaton and their three-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Similarly, Westmoreland will try to stop Cooperstown's 17-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
