Game recap: Palma High School Football Team takes down Gilroy

After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Brandon Olivares in the second quarter, Palma (Salinas, Calif.) led 45-14 at the half.

The Chieftains expanded their lead to 46 points entering the fourth quarter. Palma scored four times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by Marcus Washington.

PHS also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 65-27.

Palma (7-2) goes up against San Benito in a Monterey Bay - Gabilan game matchup next week, while Gilroy (2-7) locks horns with Christopher also in a Monterey Bay - Gabilan game.
