Basketball Recap: Eustace Comes Up Short

Eustace extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 8-17. They took a blow against the Grand Saline Indians, falling 66-39. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 86-50 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2025.

As for Grand Saline, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-6. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.7 points over those games.

Preston Hass continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 9-for-12 en route to 24 points and six steals. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in shooting accuracy (75%). Kaison Bolin was another key player, dropping a double-double with 11 points and ten boards.

Looking ahead, Eustace will head out to challenge Quitman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Grand Saline, they will challenge Mineola at 8:15 p.m. on Friday. The Yellowjackets have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
