Basketball Recap: Port Clinton Comes Up Short

Port Clinton lost against Margaretta back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Port Clinton Redskins took a blow against the Margaretta Polar Bears, falling 91-40. While losing is never fun, the Redskins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 571st, while the Polar Bears are ranked 49th).

Port Clinton's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Margaretta, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 16-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Port Clinton will welcome Edison at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Margaretta, they will be playing at home against Old Fort at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday. Old Fort knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 games -- so hopefully Margaretta likes a good challenge.
