 Quabbin Regional came into Wednesday's   game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They won by a  run and slipped past the Leicester Wolverines  6-5. That's more bragging rights for Quabbin Regional, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
  Finn Leander spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered  just two earned  (and three unearned) runs on five hits.
 On the hitting side,  Andrew Warfield was  excellent,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Sam Morgan, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-3.
 Quabbin Regional's win bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Leicester, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost six of their last eight matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record  this season.
 Quabbin Regional will look to defend their home field  on Thursday against Montachusett RVT at 3:45  p.m. As for Leicester, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Douglas at 3:30  p.m.  on Friday.
