Basketball Game Preview: Bridges Prep Buccaneers vs. Hampton County Hurricanes

The Bridges Prep Buccaneers will venture away from home to challenge the Hampton County Hurricanes at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Hampton County's win came from a few key players Bridges Prep will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Tyler Davis, who went 11 for 15 to rack up 24 points and six boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jaquan Solomon, who went 8 of 12 on his way to 21 points and five rebounds.

Bridges Prep has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points over those games. As for Hampton County, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-4.

Bridges Prep might still be hurting after the 59-34 defeat they got from Hampton County when the teams last played on Wednesday. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Bridges Prep was down 31-9.
