Baseball Recap: John Carroll Catholic Find Success

While John Carroll Catholic's victory against Master's Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Rams had just enough and edged out the Patriots 4-3 on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won six in a row.

Rodrigo Morales looked comfortable as he pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has become a key player for John Carroll Catholic: the team is undefeated when he allows at most two hits, but 8-9 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Grady Messner was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

John Carroll Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Master's Academy, they dropped their record down to 16-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
