Basketball Recap: Kuna Falls Short Against Ranked Meridian

On Friday, Kuna faced Meridian in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Kuna Kavemen lost 64-38 to the Meridian Warriors. The matchup marked the Kavemen's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Kuna's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Meridian, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-8.

Looking ahead, Kuna will host Owyhee at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Owyhee knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Kuna likes a good challenge. As for Meridian, they are taking a road trip to square off against Boise at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
