            Volleyball Recap: Pocatello Thunder vs. Highland Rams        
        
		
        
        
            
After flying high against Minico  last Thursday, Pocatello came back down to earth. The Thunder took  a  3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Highland Rams on Tuesday. The Thunder were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rams earlier this season, when they won  2-0.
 Pocatello started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-15, 25-14,  25-21.
 Abby Lusk paced Pocatello's offense, picking up 20 kills. Lusk got some help from  Josie Haymore and her 39 assists.  Lainey Rogers controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
  Jaycie Homer was a one-woman wrecking crew For Highland. as she  had ten  digs and two  aces. That's the most  digs  Homer has posted  over her last six  matchups.
Pocatello has  been struggling recently as they've  lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 19-14 record  this season. As for Highland, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-16 record  this season.
 Pocatello has already played their next matchup,  a  3-2  win against Century on the 15th. As for Highland, they will be playing at home against Madison  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
