Baseball Recap: Summit Christian Academy Drops Highest Score of Season Against Memorial

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Summit Christian Academy). They put the hurt on the Memorial Chargers with a sharp 20-3 win on Thursday. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by six runs or more this season.

Chase Cooper was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Bode Ridley, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.

Summit Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Memorial, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-17.

Summit Christian Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Chargers: the pair will be back at it again later today.
