Baseball Recap: Lindsay Wins Going Away Against Granite Hills

Lindsay was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Granite Hills on Thursday. The Cardinals blew past the Grizzlies 13-0. The game marked the Cardinals' most dominant victory of the season.

Nate Lopez and Bryan Martinez did most of the damage at the plate: Lopez went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Martinez went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those three runs gave Lopez a new career-high. Izzac Rocha was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Lindsay always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Lindsay's record now sits at 8-11-1. As for Granite Hills, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-17.

Looking ahead, Lindsay will take on Orosi at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Granite Hills, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 10-0 win against Strathmore on the 12th.
