Basketball Recap: Colleton County's Luck Changes for the Better on Wednesday

There's no place like home for Colleton County, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They came out on top against the Bamberg-Ehrhardt Red Raiders by a score of 59-51 on Wednesday. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Red Raiders, too.

Bamberg-Ehrhardt's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Marcus Cann, who went 8 for 10 on his way to 20 points and eight rebounds, and Jalen Mcgraw, who posted 12 points in addition to six steals and five assists. Cann continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamarius Jenkins, who had seven points and six rebounds.

Colleton County moved to 3-6 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Bamberg-Ehrhardt, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Colleton County will host Hampton County at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bamberg-Ehrhardt, they will welcome Denmark-Olar on Monday.
