Soccer Game Preview: Black Hills vs. Centralia

Black Hills is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will square off against the Centralia Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Black Hills will be strutting in after a win while Centralia will be coming in after a defeat.

Black Hills will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Orting on Saturday. Black Hills blew past Orting 5-1. Considering Black Hills' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Meanwhile, Centralia faced Lindbergh in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. Centralia fell just short of Lindbergh by a score of 1-0. The loss was Centralia's first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Centralia fell to 4-1. As for Black Hills, they now have a winning record of 3-2-2.

Black Hills suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Centralia in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Black Hills avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
