Baseball Game Preview: Harding Raiders vs. Struthers Wildcats

The Harding Raiders will head out to face off against the Struthers Wildcats at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Harding is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

Harding managed to slip by Girard the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Raiders lost 8-0 to the Indians on Wednesday. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Struthers and McKinley, and McKinley kept the tradition alive. The Wildcats fell just short of the Red Dragons by a score of 2-1 on Thursday.

Isaac Wolfe was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out seven batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits.

At the plate, Struthers saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Travis McMurray, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Harding's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Struthers, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-6.
