Baseball Recap: Lakewood Ranch Comes Up Short

Lakewood Ranch lost against Braden River last Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Mustangs fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 4-3. That's two games in a row now that the Mustangs have lost by just one run.

Kuwain Claxton made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 1-for-2. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Luis Flores, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Lakewood Ranch has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season. As for Braden River, their victory bumped their record up to 12-10.

Coming up, Lakewood Ranch will face off against Parrish Community at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Braden River does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
