Basketball Recap: Center Place Takes a Loss

Center Place was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a blow against Christian Fellowship, falling 80-20. The contest marked the Golden Eagles' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Luke Davis continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Christian Fellowship, going 9-for-15 to rack up 25 points along with eight steals and seven boards. Thanks to that strong game, Davis now owns an excellent 45.9% shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Davis, who went 5-for-9 on his way to 12 points in addition to five assists and five steals.

Center Place's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Christian Fellowship, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Center Place does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Christian Fellowship, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Plaza Heights Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Plaza Heights Christian Academy sitting on eight straight victories and Christian Fellowship on three.
