Football Recap: Linden Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Linden entered their contest against Summerville on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Lions were just a hair shy of victory and fell 21-20 to the Bears. If the Lions were looking for revenge after losing 28-7 to the Bears when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Linden still got an impressive performance from Andrew Juarez, who rushed for 136 yards and three TDs. The Lions are 5-2 when Juarez posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.

Linden suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 6-4. As for Summerville, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2.

Linden and Summerville will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Lions see the field they'll take on Stone Ridge Christian at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. As for Summerville, their break will end when they face Rio Vista at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th.
