First Colonial is 8-0-2 against Bayside since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Patriots will head out to square off against the Marlins at 4:00 p.m. First Colonial's pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so Bayside's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

First Colonial is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 18 runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Princess Anne on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Cavaliers by a score of 1-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Patriots were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Bayside owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Indian River, sneaking past 1-0.

Barry Farias Jr looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Bayside's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Tayden Jackson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. That stolen base marked the first that Jackson snagged this season.

Bayside hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Indian River struck out 13 times.

Bayside's record now sits at 2-3. As for First Colonial, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Everything went First Colonial's way against Bayside when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as First Colonial made off with a 13-1 win. Do the Patriots have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Marlins turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
