Football Recap: Wallace-Rose Hill Starts Season with Loss at Home + How To Watch

Wallace-Rose Hill unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 21-0 to the East Duplin Panthers on Friday. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Matthew Wells threw for 38 yards while completing 72.7% of his passes. Adrian Glover was his top target, picking up 61 receiving yards. On the ground, Jamarae Lamb rushed for 60 yards.

East Duplin got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Shawn Davis out in front who rushed for 70 yards and one touchdown.

Wallace-Rose Hill has already played their next match, a 26-24 loss against Kinston on the 29th. As for East Duplin, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 42-20 win against Princeton on the 29th.
