Volleyball Recap: Whitney Young Triumphs

The Whitney Young Dolphins were able to grind out a solid victory over the Chicago Washington Patriots on Thursday, taking the game 2-0.

While Whitney Young won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-18.

Cayden Kirby paced Whitney Young's offense, picking up six kills. Kirby got some help from Javier Lopeez and his 11 assists. Evan Chui controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Whitney Young now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Chicago Washington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Whitney Young will take on Grant Community in a tournament on Friday. As for Chicago Washington, they will face off against Jones at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
