Paige Ells was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Brianna Hatch was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Olivia King, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.
