Basketball Recap: North Takes a Loss

On Saturday, the North Saxons ended up a good deal behind the Rancho Verde Mustangs and lost 63-47. While losing is never fun, the Saxons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 354th, while the Mustangs are ranked 75th).

North's loss dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Rancho Verde, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

North will challenge Bellflower at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. Bellflower will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something North surely won't give up without a fight. As for Rancho Verde, they will be playing at home against Valley View at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rancho Verde is facing Valley View at the right time seeing as Valley View is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
