Westlake won against Lake Travis on Thursday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Chaparrals walked away with an 8-5 win over the Del Valle Cardinals. This was a revenge game for the Chaparrals: when they faced off against the Cardinals back in March, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

The victory made it two in a row for Westlake and bumps their season record up to 13-11. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Del Valle, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-14-1 record this season.

Westlake will head out on the road to take on Dripping Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Chaparrals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 8.9 runs per game this season. As for Del Valle, they will be playing at home against Akins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.15 runs per game on average), something the Cardinals will no doubt try to take advantage of.
