Baseball Recap: Neshannock Takes a Loss

After flying high against Aliquippa last Monday, Neshannock came back down to earth. The Lancers fell just short of the Mohawk Area Warriors by a score of 6-4 on Wednesday. The matchup marked the Lancers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Neshannock saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Hutchison, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Neshannock's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Mohawk Area, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-4.

Looking ahead, Neshannock will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Union Area at 2:00 p.m. The Lancers are facing the Scotties at the right time seeing as the Scotties are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Mohawk Area, they will square off against Quaker Valley at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Quakers have averaged an impressive 10.5 runs per game this season.
