Football Recap: Mineral Wells Rams vs. Brock Eagles
Mineral Wells fell victim to Brock and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 21-0 to the Brock Eagles. It was the first time this season that the Rams let down their fans at home.
It was another big night for Brody Woods, who rushed for 148 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries for Brock. That's the most rushing yards Woods has posted since back in October of 2023. Another big playmaker for Brock was Colt Matlock, who returned a punt for a touchdown.
Mineral Wells' loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2. As for Brock, the win for them keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
Mineral Wells will venture away from home to square off against Graham at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Graham knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Mineral Wells likes a good challenge. As for Brock, they will host Burkburnett at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Brock's defense has only allowed 6.7 points per game this season, so Burkburnett's offense will have their work cut out for them.
