Basketball Game Preview: Berne Union Rockets vs. Genoa Christian Academy

The Berne Union Rockets will head out to challenge Genoa Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with seven losses in a row, Berne Union turned things around against Millersport on Saturday. They came out on top against the Lakers by a score of 43-32.

Meanwhile, Genoa Christian Academy put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They managed a 53-49 win over High Street Christian Academy.

Genoa Christian Academy found their leader in freshman Evan Allgood, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Allgood has scored all season. Jackson Kirura was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten boards.

Genoa Christian Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Berne Union's victory ended a 13-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-7. As for Genoa Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.
