Recap: Fort Bend Willowridge Eagles vs. Randle Lions
After a string of three wins, the Fort Bend Willowridge Eagles's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 40-39 to Randle. Fort Bend Willowridge was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Randle apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Randle can attribute much of their success to Jalissa King, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Ifemena Nwora was another key contributor, scoring four points along with three steals.
Fort Bend Willowridge's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 22-8. As for Randle, they pushed their record up to 20-8 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home.
Fort Bend Willowridge will take on Foster at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Randle, they will head out on the road to square off against Fort Bend Kempner at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Bend Kempner will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 901st, while Randle is ranked 371st).
