Soccer Game Preview: San Benito vs. La Joya

The San Benito Greyhounds and the La Joya Coyotes will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

San Benito is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Edinburg North just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They and the Cougars finished up their contest with a 0-0 draw. The result kept the Greyhounds happy, as they haven't lost a game since January 2nd.

Meanwhile, La Joya didn't have quite enough to beat Alexander on Tuesday and fell 2-1. The Coyotes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

La Joya's loss dropped their record down to 2-2-1. San Benito's draw gives them a new season record of 4-1-2.
