Baseball Recap: Otter Valley Comes Up Short

If Otter Valley was riding high fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Fair Haven on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Otters fell 4-1 to the Bellows Falls Terriers on Saturday. The Otters were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Terriers earlier this season, when they won 15-7.

Otter Valley has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for Bellows Falls, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-6.

Coming up, Otter Valley is taking a road trip to face off against Burr & Burton at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Bulldogs have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Bellows Falls, they will be playing at home against Brattleboro at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bears' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Terriers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
