Basketball Recap: Taylor Brack's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Weeping Water over Raymond Central

Weeping Water lost against Raymond Central back in December of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Weeping Water Indians received a blow as they fell 44-25 to the Raymond Central Mustangs. The matchup marked the Indians' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Weeping Water's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Taylor Brack, who posted six points. Another player making a difference was Kalison Miller, who had six points.

Raymond Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kenzie Teneyck led the charge by going 7 of 12 on her way to 17 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Teneyck is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Savannah Masek, who put up 13 points and six steals.

Weeping Water's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Raymond Central, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Weeping Water wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 50-41 defeat against Johnson County Central/Lewiston on the 28th. As for Raymond Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 50-34 loss against Johnson-Brock on the 28th.
