John Milledge Academy posted their biggest win since February 21, 2024 on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 56-30 margin over the First Presbyterian Day Vikings. The Trojans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Vikings, too.

John Milledge Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryce McDonel, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Walt Greene was another key player, putting up nine points and five boards.

John Milledge Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive matches.

First Presbyterian Day's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Peyton Howard, who posted five points and five rebounds. Howard continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jones Handberry, who earned seven points.

With the win, John Milledge Academy broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-7. As for First Presbyterian Day, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

John Milledge Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Piedmont Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for First Presbyterian Day, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 61-44 loss against Windsor Academy on the 16th.
