Basketball Recap: Fowler Gets Big Win over Higher-Ranked Kerman

Fowler won the last time they faced Kerman and things went their way on Saturday too. The Fowler Redcats came out on top against the Kerman Lions by a score of 72-60. The win was all the more spectacular given the Redcats' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 962nd, while the Lions are ranked 451st).

Fowler is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Kerman, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.

Fowler will take on Clovis in a holiday battle at on Thursday. Kerman and Hanford West will round out the year against one another at at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kerman is facing Hanford West at the right time seeing as Hanford West is stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
