Basketball Recap: Stall Comes Up Short

Stall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss. They were dealt an 80-41 defeat at the hands of the James Island Trojans. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 195th, while the Trojans are ranked 33rd).

When it comes to explaining why Stall lost, don't look at Jamir Sanders. Despite the final result, he posted 16 points. Donte Ward was another key player, putting up nine points.

James Island got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Gavin Ward out in front who earned 13 points and eight assists. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Triplin, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten boards.

Stall's loss dropped their record down to 3-20. As for James Island, they pushed their record up to 17-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

As of now, neither Stall nor James Island have any future games scheduled.
