Kathryn (Kat) McCartney was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. McCartney was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mylie Shepard, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and one triple.
