Softball Game Preview: Robert F. Kennedy Community Bobcats vs. Mendez Jaguars

Robert F. Kennedy Community hasn't had much luck against Mendez recently, but that could start to change on Monday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Robert F. Robert F. Kennedy Community is headed into Monday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game dating back to last season on Friday. In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Yvette De Los Santos, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2024. Luna Rubio was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

Mendez always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .630. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in three consecutive matches.

Mendez pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 21.3 runs over those games. As for Robert F. Kennedy Community, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
