Recap: Dimmitt Bobcats vs. Denver City Mustangs
The Dimmitt Bobcats were the 59-44 winner over the Denver City Mustangs when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Dimmitt fell 45-37 to Denver City on Tuesday.
Several Bobcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mario Lopez, who scored six points along with four blocks. Those four blocks set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Tony Salazar, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Dimmitt has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season. As for Denver City, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 13-9.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Brownfield the next time they take the court. Denver City will head out to face Brownfield at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Dimmitt will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
