Basketball Recap: Charleston Math & Science Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Charleston Math & Science can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 27-14 win over the Beaufort Academy Eagles. The Riptide's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Leading Charleston Math & Science to victory were Cynay Taylor and Ellis Britt. Taylor posted nine points, while Britt earned six points. The dominant performance gave Taylor a new career-high in points.

Charleston Math & Science's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Beaufort Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Charleston Math & Science will take on Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Beaufort Academy and Coastal HomeSchool will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on December 20th.
