Baseball Recap: Lindenwold Comes Up Short

Lindenwold extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 5-7. They lost 14-4 to the LEAP Academy Lancers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lancers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-9 back in April.

As for LEAP Academy, they now have a winning record of 8-7. Considering they have won six contests by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

For LEAP Academy's part, Ethan Streater was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with six stolen bases and three runs. Those six stolen bases gave Streater a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jose Guttierez, who went 2-for-5 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Looking ahead, Lindenwold will be playing in front of their home fans against Palmyra at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for LEAP Academy, they are taking a road trip to take on Pemberton at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
