League recap: Randolph overpowering for Dove Creek in past week

Dove Creek's Dalton Randolph was the best pitcher in 1A District 1 this week. He struck out nine batters this week.

The Bulldogs had a successful week, as they won two total games to lead the league. Dove Creek beat Shiprock 9-4 and Navajo Prep 18-3.

Cotopaxi's pitchers were the toughest in the league on opposing hitters this week, giving up only nine hits. On the year, the Pirates have allowed only ten hits in two games.

The league boasted five .400 hitters over the past week. They were led by Tyler Ebberts, who hit .750 this week (9-for-12).



Jordan Ernst drove in four runners as the Bulldogs defeated the Eagles 18-3 on Friday. He went 3-for-4 and scored three runs.
