Basketball Recap: Austin Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Austin can now relate to. They took a hard 44-30 fall against the San Elizario Eagles on Tuesday. The Panthers were red-hot offensively heading into the match (they scored no less than 55 points in the four contests prior), but the Eagles' defense proved too tough.

Austin's defeat dropped their record down to 17-12. As for San Elizario, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-19 record this season.

Austin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for San Elizario, they will challenge Seminole at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Seminole will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something San Elizario surely won't give up without a fight.
