Basketball Recap: Eagle Ridge Christian Eagles vs. Westwood Baptist Academy Eagles
The Eagle Ridge Christian Eagles lost against the Westwood Baptist Academy Eagles back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Eagle Ridge Christian took a 40-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. Eagle Ridge Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Westwood Baptist Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sydney Hawley, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Katie Gross, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds.
Eagle Ridge Christian has not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Westwood Baptist Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
Eagle Ridge Christian will head out on the road to take on the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Providence Classical Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Monday. As for Westwood Baptist Academy, they will face off against the at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.
