Softball Recap: Francis W. Parker Comes Up Short

Francis W. Parker extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 1-5 in the process. They lost 17-0 to the Regina Dominican Panthers. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Colonels were not able to get on the board.

Francis W. Parker saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Billie Wilson, who went 1-for-2 with one triple.

As for Regina Dominican, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-3. Considering they have won seven contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

On Regina Dominican's side, Quinn Christensen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. Christensen was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, Clare Levar was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Izzie Christensen was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Regina Dominican beat Francis W. Parker by a score of 12-0 later that day.
